How you confirm the diagnostic of Alport syndrome???/ Renal biopsy or skin biopsy??

Kidney biopsy most often provides the diagnosis if it is not established by skin biopsy

First step is skin biopsy. Renal biopsy is for renal lesions.

Thanks Sammy, I was readying Kaplan and they said Kidney, but then I was reading some articles and they said that there are some controversy about it ????

i think doing skin biopsy will be much easier and convenient so do skin biopsy 1st...

I remember an mcq on this from UW, step 2 and the answer was skin biopsy.
