Seat availablility at Prometric????? - usmleiosis

I noticed that there is an option on "seat availability" on the prometric website. Can anyone tell me ..are we supposed to book through there?
I had already booked by going to " book an exam" and just found a center and booked but I never booked thru the seat availability option. I mean is this something we are supposed to do also? I tried calling the center but there is only an answer machine with a message.

its just to see before you book or want to change the date ..both options are same u can go either way .....first check the availability then apply from there or go directly to book a date............same thing.......if u r looking for some other date once u got one u can keep checking the availability thru seat availablity until it appears availble then can switch the date..............
