hyperthyroid/hypothyroid myopahty - emi

hyperthyroid myopathy cause distal muscle weakness of proximal? please kindly tell... thanks.

its kinda tricky qs i dont think there is a big difference between myopathy presentation in both hypo as well hyperthyroidism----
usually both have proximal weakness though around 20-30 %cases in hyperthyroidism may accompanied with distal presentation.
but main difference is usually hypo present with severe cramp compare to hyperthyroidism induced myopathy is usually painless and muscles are atrophied.also rhabdomylosis is more frequent with hypothyroidism myopathy.
qs will have certainly other clues like low or subnoral ck level in hyperthyroidism.
