Hi in earlier stages of iron poisoning there is abdominal pain,vomitting[ hemorrhagic]diarrhea.It will lead to hypotension and tissue ischemia so metabolic acidosis.

Hi its from my notes excess iron gets accmulated inside the mitochondria and it will disrupt the OXIDATIVE PHOSPHORYLATION that will laed to metabolic acidosis.
