more than one speciality? - spring10

Is it good idea to apply to more than one speciality in same hospital? For ex: IM as well as Psychiatry? Thanks

i asked the same question yesterday and someone replied its being stupid ...choose one and stick to it
if u go thru FM list of ERAS half of the hospitals are same as IM ,

yes u can as long as they wont get to know that u applied for two specality in the same hospital and the chances for the programs to knw about it are very minimal.....i think there is no harm in taking this risk........afterall whole usmle process is a risk....so go ahead.

yeah i too say go a head and apply....usually two departments dont share the info , unless they have same program coordinator etc. only thing is if you get IV in two diff departments, from the same hospital, then think about it.
