last year 30,000 plus applied for the 23,000 plus spots in US (all specialties combined). There are 18,000 something AMGs, so subtract that from the 23,000 plus spots.

Don't know how many DO's apply to MD residencies but they will get it over an IMG. The rest of us compete for the remaining spots most of them in primary care specialties that AMGs do not want!

i came to know 3000 new carribean grads appled this year..how far is this correct..
