who knows diagnostic algorithm for blood per rectum (at least first few steps)?
it can be specified for age and stool character - melena or bright red blood per rectum,
please post

Young person, no risk for Colon ca : rectal examination, fobt, Ng tube aspiration, if ng tume findings are doubtful endoscopy, and colonoscopy, if no bleeding spot identified, Tc99scan......angiography.

Elder person/ Young with colon cancer risk : Rectal examination, Fobt, Colonoscopy if no lesion identified ng tube.......
