is antibiotics indicated in mastitis , abscess or only for abscess ???? thank you guys

Mastitis can quickly progress to abscess so antibiotics Rx is recommended. Usually mastitis is caused by staph aureus. Dicloxacillin is the DOC. If patient is resistant to penicillin, erythromycin is the next choice.
