Please somebody in simple world v/q diffrences my question is why v/q is low in upper lobes . Because ventilación and perfucion are decrease?

Sorry in upper lobes flow and ventilación is decrease , why v/ q is increase!

Apex: least ventilation AND blood flow

Base: greatest ventilation AND blood flow.

Ideal V/Q= 0.8

in the base although ventilation is great, it's still less than perfusion : underventilated : Q > V

apex: ventilation is less than perfusion : hyperventilated : V > Q

Base: V < Q ... High CO2 .. Low O2 .. Low pH .. Low V/Q ..

Apex: is the opposite ..
