today we all are here and not busy in interview but after match all unmatched applicant will become busy to improve their resume.
so why not discuss pros and cons of" no more prematch next year",so we can step forward in better way. thanks for any participation.

i am not sure, i saw this news only in this forum not on any NRMP web site.

i think NO PREMATCH is good for the excellent applicants( who will most probably match) because they wont be confused to make an early decision .
and it is good for the good applicants ( most of them will match) because i think the programs will make more calls and they will be invited more. but it is bad for the under average applicants( many of them on waiting list) because many of them gets late calls after many cancel their IVs because of prematches. and no matter how they impress the PDs they will not be able to secure a position and have to wait for the ranking competing with more competitive pool of applicants. what do you think ? |
