1) Aspirin pain free relief Vs Aspirin therapy
What do you choose in Angina/TIA
2) Could we give consult order from office ..? like preparing cancer patient for surgery, we do all investigations from office
3) Is the way to write consult... 53 year, caucasian male with acute appendicitis ..once we have results of investigations, we should directly put the diagnosis/ presenting complaints
Thank you

1. ASA therapy is indicated both in angina and TIA. It is not for pain relief though it helps in relieving pain its main action is to reduce the thrombi formation in atherosclerotic vessels by its anti-platelet action. It reduces mortality in CAD and used as secondary prophylaxis in Cerebrovascular disease.
2. yes
3. ???? did not understand your Q. If you are asking about what to write in the 'reason for consult" column, be as brief as possible...no need to elaborate. This is not scored

In Acute Coronary Syndrome /TIA
Aspirin should be given in two doses
1. 1st one as one time /bolus oral
2. 2nd one as oral continuous
This indicates that you want to give a loading dose followed by maintenance low dose.
Office consult
Yes you can order consult for any branch from office. You can decide to admit after you get result of consult
Reason for referral
Write your diagnosis as possible acute appendicitis. you dont need to write the procedure for which you want them to consider. Just write your suspected diagnosis. If your diagnosis is clear by that time then omit possible part in diagnosis.
