history about CLL(very long history) then at the end what MOA of prednisone in treating this tumor?

Steroids induce apoptosis of malignant lymphocytes by inhibiting NFkB.

NFkB is a group of transcriptional foctors that is anti-apoptotic especially in streesed cells (eg malignant cells). So inhibiting this factor induces apoptosis in maligant cells.
I think steroids do that by inhibiting some proinflammatory cytokins ..i am not sure
