hi xalatan1
there is no ACOG[AMERICAN COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICS N GYGE] recommendatn for universal screening for gestatnl diabetes.it says universal screening is sensitive but less risk women r less likely to benefit frm this test.but 95%
of obgs in US do universal screeening for threat of litigation.we don ve such threat in india n so we use it cost effectively.
abt WILLIAMS textbook of obg ,cant help laughing man!!!!
it is an american textbook n is the bible for obstetricians all over the world.
plz don compare a review series or high yield with text book.
if ur interestd in this topic,i ll give u details of studies on this.

GOOD LUCK XALATAN1

hey parubash,
cooldown.......take it easy......i didn't want to challenge you in anyway....i just wanted to let u know that this is what most popular textbooks for USMLE says about....
USMLE exam is an exam for 2nd year medical students not an OBG boards exam......so i didn't know about williams textbook......anyway i am going to accept what BRS and Goljan says for safety sake(because they teach what USMLE is looking for).......
