applicant guide, dr2 or any good soul - doc123456
#11
@dr. doc123456
If I have to waive my right to see the LOR, should dr needs to mention this on the letter?

[if you have checked this option on your coverletter then there does not need to be a mention of the same in the body of the letter itself. some referees however tend to place it and this is certainly not a wrong practice]

I know we can check this on cover letter or DOS but I read somewhere that its good to write on ur letter bcoz otherwise how PDs will come to know that u waived this letter , as they don't get DOS with letter. Is this correct?

[eras will notify the PD that the applicant has choses to waive the right to see the LoR]

@Dr. Hatsoff

[ERAS is now gearing towards a 'blue ink' policy, this does not mean if LOr is signed in black then it will be trashed. They may get in touch with you if they need a resubmission, remind the referee to sign in blue ink!

good luck!
