hello guys,
Is there anybody who is permanent resident of canada but holding indian passport (indian citizen) who is going to apply for J1 visa from canada..
For J1 visa ,Is it necessary to obtain statement of need from canada or one can get it from india if indian citizen with PR of canada.

Being canadaian PR if you have an indian passport then you can get SON from India. If you become Canadian Citizen then you must get it from Canada

I'm no expert on this subject but I heard that even if you become a Canadian citizen you still get it from India.
