This qs ben asked millions time but still need some reasonabl answers.

here are some options that I had kept for my own reference.

Your possibilities depending on ur capacity-
If you have a green card
a. Medical Assistant / PA, EKG tech, phlebotmist. It is easy to get in touch with a desi doctor who will utilize your services and pay u some money for a lot of work.
b. Higher and more academics(MPH, PhD) - research associate, research tech, clinical co-cordinator, anatomy lab teacher (very high paying if u have some teaching exp). This would mean being in highly academic setting, get u good LoRs , help u into residency.

If u r on a visa B1, u might want to convert into other visas to keep u going
F1- student visa- can still work. U can join one of the PA courses, EKG tech even Kaplan courses at the same time make money in small time jobs
J1- official research job (associate) . U need to be good to convince them to offer u a visa. They might ask u for a 2 year commitement. ( downside)
H1- If u r lucky , might be able to get one of the research jobs with H1.

Unofficially if u r on non work visa contact some desi doctor who can pay u unofficially but still give u a reco letter that u have worked as a volunteer.
