If I see a patient in office and I have to order colonoscopy or EGD routine do i need to admit him for procedure preparation ?

no admission is required in all office based case but if the patient is above 50 and on rectal exam , you find occult blood positive stool then admit the patient is good option and right choice.

Remember, Dont forget to consult GI.. it is scored when you order it and doing the procedure for diagnostic purpose. But it wont when you do it for screening purpose.
