i think its apneustic breathing which is due to damage of caudal pons

"C" is right.
Basilar artery supply the PONS.
-Lesion at PONS that cause the removal of inhibitory control of Apneustic center will produce
"Apneustic Breathing" (Plz refer kaplan physio or wiki)
-so if u see this respiratory pattern......Think of "PONS" lesion.
-when they talk about "Spontaneous Breathing'(Inherent Resp. Rhythm)---Think of "MEDULLA"
