Dear ECFMG representative:
The rules of USMLE, once you pass the exam you are not allowed to retake it, is not fair.
I am writing to you so that you support changing these rules.
I believe that if the applicant was not successful in getting into the residency after few attempts, he/she should be offered the opportunity to retake the exam.
Most of the programs have set minimum requirements (sometimes they ask for scores in the 90th percentile) it is unfair for those who passed the exam on 75 and failed to match to any position to deny them the opportunity to get their life back on track.
Everyone should be getting a second chance. The rule of once you pass you can not repeat is unfair. Please help to change it.
