YOG april 2010
3 months of research with university LOR
1 month of observership with UNIVERSITY LOR
...APPLIED AND GOT 2 interviews till NOW..am ON WAITLIST FOR 4-5 PROGRAMS

WILL APPLY NEXT YEAR if I DONT MATCH WITH 2 more MONTHS OF confirmed OBSERVERSHIPs and would be looking to atleast make it 5 months of teaching hospital observership...can i expect something better next year....

with all the talk of imgs not making it into residency..i was anxious if it would be any worth applying with these creds next year..

I am sorry to hear that. Your credentials are good..I am surprised that you didnt get more interviews. I hope you match this year or at least get something through scramble.

If you don't match, then definitely apply next year. Your credentials are good enough. You need to apply widely. Apply to specialties like FM and IM that are IMG friendly....and of course observerships help, especially if backed up with good LORS.

i think it has to do with the PS and MY PROFILE ...have to work on the PS and hope for the best..anyways it's still not over as i have just got a phone interview and hope to hear from atleast 1-2 programs till january end..rest is as they say destiny..
