hello ,
i am a 2010 grad...i am confused that should i apply for this years match for IM WITH ONLY some us cinical experience and no research and publicaitions or should i wait one more year do some research an pulications gain some more IM EXPERIENCE and then apply for the 2014 match?
will i be considered a old grad in 2014?how will it affect my chance in 2014?

If you have your step 1 , Step 2 CS and Step 2 CK done.. That should most probably enough to start applying and for programs to consider your application.

Anything above that like USCE, Research Publications strengthen your application. If you dont have them, its not like you arent eligible for applying.

And if you are not matched when you apply the first time, you can still apply the next time. You are still eligible to apply every year. Its not like a one time application and you are dis qualified.

You can gain some experience in interviews with the credentials/USCE you have, while doing some research. Why waste a year when there is no guarantee that a Research publication will get you a residence seat.
