The answer is D becos the gram -ve bacteria have endotoxins that can onle be released after bacterial lysis

Kindof agree with Honda. G negative bacteria cause sepsis due to endotoxin.

lipopolysaccharide component of the gm -ve bact is responsible for producing endotoxic (septic) shock. LPS is experimentally used to induce septicemia in animal models. so it should be C
