there are many CLINICS who advertise to come and join them in case you have not matched. they do emphasize "ITS PAID". good luck with that. just to get a good LOR in the end, you will be working until late evening at bare minimum wage. the pay is a joke. other benefits or insurance is a dream.

They know how to EXPLOIT. these doctors were residency applicants once upon a time and went through the process. little does that matter for them. they know without license you cannot do anything else. so why not have a highly educated FMG work in my clinic. he can help if the dumb PA or other MA have no clue what disease they are trying to diagnose. THIS IS FREE HELP FROM A DOCTOR WHO IS NOT PAID AS A DOCTOR.

You are absolutely right. And the surprising fact is often paid externships are often offered by clinics run by doctors who once where IMGs. One feels relieved to get a decent job atlast. but once you start you realise they are the worst exploiters.
