this may sound like a dumb question but please help..if in liver cirrhosis, the liver is failing, so how can sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) be increased and cause spider nevi and gynecomastia?..if the liver is failing shouldnt SHBG be decreased?..

Spider nevi and gynecomastia are due to the effect of "Estrogen".


-Cirrhotic Liver "CAN NOT Detoxify" Estrogen and it's level rises.
