B hexosaminidase has 2 subunits alpha and beta ...tay sachs is a mutation in alpha and sandhoff is a mutation in beta gene.if a tay sachs carrier marries a sandhoff carrier what is teh probablity that their first child will hav ethe disease??

To be a patient of Tay Sach, one needs two alleles with alpha mutations, to be a patient of Snadhoff, one needs two alleles with beta mutations. Both are autosomal recessive.

In this case, the kid of that couple will have no chance to be homozygous diseased for either of the disease.
