hi,I am green card holder and got ECFMG certified in January 2006.
I got 98/92/CS+. I applied for match but only with part 1 score and was on F1 during that time,so dint got any interview calls, now i am planning to take up prelim or transitional year in internal medicine this year in post-match so that i dont waste my one year. what could be the disadvantages of my decision to take up prelim or transitional this year and then trying to get into categorical PG y-1 next year into good program with USCE of 1 yr. Do you have any other suggestion for me to risk and save my one year. any piece of advice would be highly appreciated.thank you.
