to go to the U.S. for the scramble? I had 2 inteviews, scores in 80s, old grad. No response fm the 2 places. Could someone PLEASE guide me. I'm new to the forum and hope for help and will also contribute in any way I can.

I don't know where you are ,but if I were you I wouldn't be in the US just for the scramble, I would be specifically in NY knocking on doors and meeting people until something came up.
Yes its counterintuitive, but waiting around periodically looking at a computer screen is no way to conduct a reasonable JOB HUNT.
Call people become like a hurricane and move everything and everyone you can...

Thank you . I'm in India presently, have noone in NY to stay with... that's the problem. I shall give it some serious thought, have to move fast. VERY grateful for ur advice.
