Step 3 MCQ Time management??? - dppgi4u

I am facing time issue?? Can anyone help..Do we need to read the MCQ q whole or just last line after quickly going through stem????
Please help

you can skim through the q. stem if you want but i wouldn't advise against it .. bc there are tidbits that are the most important and if you skim read .. you might miss them

here's my way of attacking questions that i used for my exam:

step 1: read the answers >> this way i know what type of q. stem it will be .. if the answer are all drugs : ill know to focus on the current medications and chief complaint because the question will be something related to that.. if the answers are all dx tests / imaging tests then i'd skip the bulls*it and seek out the diagnosis and what's been done already for next step in mgmt.. etc ..

step 2: read the actual question at the end .. again gives a clue of what the entire paragraph will contain

step 3: if from step 1 and 2 it seems like i need to focus on certain things .. do that.. otherwise decide to skim / thoroughly read the whole question stem.
