How do they count years since graduation. - sib

I read on program applications requirements.
And, One says that You should be less than 5 year. And, should have graduate no earlier than 2008

on the forums people are saying they count till the day residency begins.

If someone graduated Dec,2010 It would 3 years or four years?

(Year Residency begins) minus (Year your medical diploma was issued)

if u do residency in home country do they consider that in calculating years since graduation

@awen I don't think so, I agree with the above post for YOG calculation. The experience that may be considered is US clinical experience.

what if the diploma is issued in dec of the year. That adds 6 months for no reason !

there is no difference between say 2 years YOG and 2.5 years YOG ... don't panic

I always had it in mind that its when you apply.
The reality just added a whole year to my life!
I think its around match and anything can possible make you panic!
