Hi, I am an old grad and passed all the steps except the third which I disappointed because I thought it's a wasting of my time!!! I am still searching to follow another carrier but I can't. All the other carriers need some prerequisites and at least 3-4 years of study!! Also most of my credentials are past due and they need a recent prerequisite which take me 1-2 year more to study to get prepared to get in. I am now 52 yrs old and very disappointed after all of these studyings and passing the usmles......somebody plz give me some advise.

carrier? do you mean career?
Passing the steps is not enough in most cases, you need to score high and prove your worth when competing for residency spots. There are no guarantees. More important than your age is the year of graduation and what you have been doing since.
