it was my first time taking this exam, i was relaxed, but i felt tension inside. my flight was 13 hours so i wanted to sleep all the time.
in my first case i forgot to write the lab i mean blood test and orders, because i was sleepy and lack of time and the lab appeared at the end of the screen so i missed it. is it something that makes all the case failed?
from the second case i paid a lot of attention to what i did and was really concentrated. of course i made a lot of mistakes like: when i performed liver percussion i did not write it in PN, i was not sure about the diagnosis in 2 cases, i did ask about etoh, smoking and did explain about all the risks related to that but in PN i forgot exactly how much they drank and smoked.
my english in PN was really terrible. but i wrote all 3 dd and 3 lab in each case, besides the first one in which i missed the lab.
the good things i did: was very polite, did everything with explanation to patient (of course washing hands etc), pruposed 3 diagnosis to the patient with explanation about all procedures and tests, asked them if something was unclear. the did ask me a tricky questions and i tried to answer them.
what do u think about missed lab in first case? and generally about chances to pass?
