Possible to match in first time as an IMG? - 378kd

Almost done with medschool, Hopefully going to be part of the 2016 Match for Internal medicine. Currently preparing the Steps, and hopefully hope things works out.


For the veterans out there, those applying for this match, and those who matched, my question is : Did you match in first time? or Second? or?

Was just wondering whats the average of IMG matching in first time?

i also am an img preparing for steps and i wana plan things and ask few question ,i am us citizen,graduated a couple of yrs back if i take step 1 and step 2 ck or cs by the end of august 2015, should i go n apply for the match? i wont be having any externships/research by that time so should i go for the match or just make things better n apply in 2016? any guidance would be appreciated.
