Does anyone know normally when the yearly in-service exam for the residents is done? Our program is asking us to give a list of time blocks for preferred vacation time and no-call rotation. I would like to arrange it close to the exam time.

I think it depends on hospital(not sure). Mine(IM) was in October.

all IM prgrms in the U.S have the in-service exam in october every yr

So we will need to take the exam 4 months after entering the program?! Wow, it's tough
