friends,

the only opportunity that i can get is an externship in a Clinical Pathology Department. Does this externship help me to get into an IM program next year?

Hey tarsan,
From what i heard,it seems that it should be Ok to do an externship in an unrelated specialty now.They do consider those LOR's as long as it's coming from a US doctor.So go ahead and do it.I'm also looking for path observerships in texas/NJ.please keep me posted if u come across any.
