Q- what happened to the levels of "Secretin" in Zollinger Ellison syndrome

Q- what happen to protein digestion "in stomach" in a pt with VIPoma.

Nothing happens to secretin levels. In normal patients, secretin will decrease gastrin production. In ZES, gastrin levels fail to decrease with secretin.


With the second one, Im not sure but my understanding is:
With Vipoma, there is an associated achlorhydria which means pepsinogen is decreased too so protein digestion is decreased.
