@validation yea i agree with you, contrast xray aka contrast/barium esophagogram , this will show exactly where the problem is before proceeding with a more definitive test that can help confirm the diagnosis.

When is the Barium esophagram the correct choice?

1. Dysphagia with solids and liquids( motility Disorder) followed by possible manometry.

2. Dysphagia with solids progressing to liquids( Mechanical Obstrction due to Prior radiation, caustic injury, complex stricture or surgery for esophageal/laryngeal cancer.
