Due to family issues I have to relocate to a different state, is it possible to repeat internship in same speciality in a different program. I would rather transfer as a pgy2 but i figure it will be very hard as want a specific location

you'll get a better answer at the other forum (sdn) many program directors can comment

from what I know you cannot reapply (to the same specialty; money would not involve another specialty) (has to do with complicated federal dollars etc that you've already used up). You'll have to transfer and find someone looking to take up your spot. Which is tough.

I'm sorry about your family issues, and hope it all works out

get all the necessary information about the process, and possible consequences before approaching your PD. If they aren't friendly it could have negative consequences, tread carefully, discreetly and lightly till you get your ducks in a row
