Can I work in California after I'm done reside - patelhe1

Hey guys, I'm an IMG on a J1 that will hopefully match this year. After I finish residency and the couple of years of working in an underserved area for all the J1 holders would I be able to work anywhere I like (ex: California)?

That is the idea, if you can get a liscence for that state and you don't have any visa restrictions you are good to go

I know Cali is strict so was wondering if getting a license would be possible for IMGs on visas?

I don't know about residency, but to get a waiver you have to get the liscence to qualified for the job, in any state, not all the way around
