paid externship vs observership - pabhi
#11
Don't spend all this money on these companies who are charging thousands of dollars. This place is getting to be a market fest for img's in taking more advantage of them. At most try finding people who will take a few hundred dollars for a month for their time not thousands in where 100+ img's are getting the same LOR from.

I would also look into getting paid for your credentials through some kind of medical job with patients and not pumping money to all these things for experience. If it's for a few months experience, then I suppose that's ok but nobody should be spending thousands per month or even 1 thousand to get into an outpatient clinic with 50 other img's.

Paid externship is better than observership

Observerships are like 3rd year US medical student rotations but without any hands on experience thus crap
Its usually beneficial for US letters of recommendation

A paid externship measures self-worth and it means you have ability
