49 yrs old man presents with c/o diarrhea since few days. also c/o some episode of sudden redness, sweating of face. occasional abdominal pain and leg cramps. vitals WNL, on physical examination signs of dehydration present. rest is normal what is your diagnosis.

1. Pancreatic Carcinoma
2. VIPoma
3. Gastrinoma
4. Carcinoid Synd.
5. Pheochromocytoma

--CARCINOID SYNDROME IS MY ANSWER--REDNESS. DIAARHEA AND SIGNS OF DEHYDRATION


COULD BE CATACHOLAMINE OF PHEAOCHROMOCYTOMA BUT THAT DONOT CAUSE DIARRHEA AND THERE IS NO HEADACHE TOO.


GASTRINOMA CAUSE ALL BUT NOT REDNESS--


PANCREATIC CA CAUSE WEIGHT LOSS/ JAUNDICE ANOREXIA


VIPOMAS CAN CAUSE ALL BUT NOT REDNESS --


BUT I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE WHETHER THERE IS ABDOMINAL CRAMP IN CARCINOID OR NOT ALTHOUGH I THINK THERE IS.

4-carcinoid syndrome (in which there is cutaneous redness, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea caused by metastatic intestinal carcinoid tumors)

but UW says.........redness is found in VIPoma also.
