For step 2, I used Kaplan notes 2005 edition and read FA 2003, but did not read the ones you mentioned. I would pick Kaplan over FA, the latter is too oversimplified for me because I was out of Med School for too long. If you are fresh Grad and have short time to prepare, FA might be a good choice.

hi erics thanx alot ,
my question was not for selecting the book, my question is i found some discripencies between 2 so which one should i trust more and follow?
like e.g RETTE'S syndrom kaplan lecture notes state decline in mile stones in female babies after 1 yr of normal development but FA states decline starts after 5 months of normal developmant?????????? this one example there are many others like this..........

Sorry for misunderstood you. I would follow Kaplan notes, preferrably the new updated edition.
