Open or swap position - us2012

It is frustrating that there is no proper website to let us know about residency vacancy or swap positions. AMA website shows only very few of the actual available positions. It is mainly for fellowship positions. Other paid websites like 'Residentswap' was futile for me, as it just showed me 2-3 positions in 3 months( while their website shows nearly 100 positions in that corresponding year, although just number & no names of programs posted)

Don't be trapped by bogus websites like residency swap. Residency swap is a tricky thing. If you are really interested to go to a different city, just call or email the hospitals in that city that offers residency.

I actually interviewed at 3 places bc of residency swap and wound up accepting a position in May to begin in July. It works, you just need to be fast with it.
