it may be a medullary carcinoma of thyroid and it may be secreting calcitonin and it may occur with men 2 so phaeochromocytoma will be looked for and besides that other family member should be also screened--it is a preventable cancer--and if there is phaeochromocytoma you have to operate that first before you touch otherwise patient may die in operation table itself because of his or her blood pressure
