what should I do to get an advance as I know i will have to work super hard now. anyone in the same position???plz any guidance would help!

Matching in PGY 2 advanced position is comparitively easier, check AMA often for that. Complete your PGY1 this year and apply next year for advanced position. Which speciality did you apply for advanced position?
