What does 95% confidence interval really tell me? I have no idea how to choose between A and B
The authors found a reduction in systolic BP of 25 mmHg (95% CI=15-35, p=0.049) with combination BP therapy than monotherapy alone. Which is an appropriate conclusion?
A) There is a 95% probability that combination therapy decreases pressure by 25mmHg compared to monotherapy
B) There is approx 5% probability that the dec in pressure was due to chance
