Hi
I am an IMG. I did my first usmle step 11 years ago and obtained my ECFMG certification six years ago. I completed a residency in a foreign country and intend to apply for the fellowship match this year,. I therefore need to complete the USMLE step 3 exam.
I wish to apply for a fellowship in a state that has the "7 years rule". Is it possible to do the exam in a state that does not limit the completion of all steps in 7 years, and by passing the step 3 there to obtain licensure in a state that does have a 7 years rule?.
2. Does any of you have an experience in a waiver for the 7 years ( or ten ears)?
