if i take eras token now -for how long is it valid?if i apply to some program in may,june or july for some unfilled positions for this year & if i dont get matched,can i apply to the same program for next year also,will it make a negative remark for the PD,please answer my questions if you r 100% sure.

the ERAS token is valid till may 31st 2006 (tokens are valid for each application cycle only). if you apply for unfilled positions now, it won't have any impact on your application for next year's cycle (from the PD's point of view).

i believe ERAS tokens are released/issued by ECFMG starting from the 2nd week in july. and yes, once you get the new 2006/2007 match token, you'll be able to use ERAS to apply for residency programs (applications are sent from the first week in september). from july to september, all you can do on myERAS is work on your application.
