advance the clock... - zks
#1
what is the most efficient way to advance the clock on the test?
if i am in the er setting and i have ordered abg and electrolytes and cxr, they all have a lag of 5-7 mins before the results are back. if i have finished writing the orders in the interim, can i then advance the clock to the last of the tests and view them all retrospectively? will i be marked down if i do this? is it better to view the individual tests as they show up?

In ER settings after you did what you wanted- orders and PE- it's appropriate to advance clock with next available results. In the office settings it less likely to use with next available results, more often to a day when all results are available ( not for ALL cases!) just as a general rule...
