Phospholamban is a 52 amino acid integral membrane protein that regulates the Ca2+ pump in cardiac muscle cells.

Phospholamban is phosphorylated by Protein Kinase A, inducing an order-to-disorder transition, activating the calcium pump

phospholamban is a pentameric sacroplasmic reticulum membrane protein. It has intrinsic inhibitory activity towards SR Ca+ ATPase, which is alleviated by hyperphosphorylation of phospholamban. Kinases capable of phospholamban phosphorylation include PKA and CaMKII. Phospholamban is hypophosphorylated in ischemic heart, and hyperphosphorylated in cornoary arteries induced to relax by NO. Given its localization to the SR, phospholamban makes a suitable marker of the SR.
Now got it...
