confused

I'm in the Match right now. My question is if I match can I pull out of the program if I have a better offer outside of the match?

that's why it's a match...you can't pull out...you have to go to the program for at least a year!

if you were going to pick and choose like that...you should have not been in the match and waited for the scramble list to come out.

I BELIEVE you could have pulled out of the match before yesterday (2/25/04)--the certification deadline for rank order lists. Since you didn't, you absolutely cannot. You are contractually obligated to do a residency for one year at whatever program you match at. After that, however, you can start hunting for that "better offer."
